I am a 450 pound man who's interested in ballet...what kind of advice could you give me to get

Just start somewhere. Anywhere is a good start. Beginner classes, for example. You'll lose weight as you progress. You'll find good exersises that will facilitate that. Yeah, you will need to get all those extra pounds off of you.

I don't know what class you took, but it is strange that you were required to get your foot over the bar on the first lesson. Find lessons that are paced just right. Go with that. Flexibility improves with time if you work at it.

Buy a ticket and go watch.
How tall are you? The most you can weight for males in ballet is 204 lbs (normally). You are well over that, so lose some weight. Go on healthy diet plans, no crash dieting. You could even see if they will let you take ballet, which burns a lot of calories per hour. Get a lot of exercise. Once you lose weight, take classes and get educated about ballet. If you aren't too old I'd say you have a fair chance at going pro, if you lose the weight and dedicate time. Good luck.

Well, how else are you going to get your leg ver the barre unless you practice! If you really want to take ballet, you have to be dedicated and driven. No quitters. Hard work and perseverance is a must, and no nonsense. But, again, good luck, I hope you reach your goal.

He doesn't post daily anymore but his archives are a hoot. He'll show you how to move and groove and even lose weight.
DONT BE TURNED OFF BY YOUR WEIGHT no matter what people tell you if you want to take ballet lessons take them, find some instructors in your area that you like but you should be prepared that some if not all may discriminate against you because of your size if they even say something that hurts your feelings don't take lessons with them because that shows that they are really judgmental and mean people at heart find a teacher that will accept you into their heart and help you become a great ballet student. and some of the students may even be mean to you but don't worry about them because you may be the best ballet student in your class.I WISH YOU THE BEST
I'm not sure why you would be asking a question like this?
lose weight
Advice: don't look at yourself in the mirror whilest you don your Tu TU
IF you are serious, even 600 L is not matter, many people are less than 120 L, YET they never think about ballet. Good for you that considering to dance, just play music and move yourself around, open your hands and fly...
